Thanks to the following organisations, who have provided generous assistance towards our court resurfacing.
Day 9 to 13 – Wednesday 17th to Sunday 21st May
Heavy rain and strong winds halted further progress. The newly laid surface needs to dry out before the sand can be applied, most likely on Monday. The application of the sand will make the pile stand up and you will not notice the different colours due to the baseline pile running in the opposite direction.
Day 18 to 21 – Friday 26th to Monday 29th May
No further progress occurred on the court resurfacing
Day 23 – Wednesday 31st May
No further progress occurred on the court resurfacing
Day 25 to 28 – Friday 2nd to Monday 5th June
Heavy rain on Friday and the long Queen’s Birthday Weekend meant no further progress occurred on the court resurfacing
Official Opening – Sunday 2nd July
The newly resurfaced tennis courts were officially unveiled before the start of the 2017 Annual General Meeting. A few short speeches were made by our President, Brendon Forbes and Patron, Larry Cross followed by Life Member Tuku Graham cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
