Another successful Ladies Day drawn doubles tournament was held at Whangaparaoa Tennis Club on Sunday 7th May 2017.
The weather was superb, and the field of 48 ladies enjoyed a great day’s tennis.
Massive thanks to the organising committee of Francee Thornton, Bernie Jeffs, Clare Bridle, Hilary Gibson, Karen Shields & Mary Kershaw, who did a fantastic job of organising the entire event.
Huge thanks to Larry Cross for his expertise in preparing the draw and for the smooth running of the day. Thanks also to all the men who helped with the morning tea, lunch and dinner, including the BBQ boys who cooked the lamb to perfection!
Thanks to the Hibiscus Coast Vets Tennis Club for the use of their courts in the morning, without this, we would have a much smaller tournament.
