Welcome to the Whangaparaoa Tennis Club
Situated in the heart of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula at Edith Hopper Park, the Whangaparaoa Tennis Club offers 6 artificial grass floodlit tennis courts, a fully equipped clubhouse with licenced bar and plenty of parking.
The club runs organised social club play year-round and organises inter-club teams at all levels for Seniors, Juniors (8-19yrs) and Mid-Week players in the Tennis Northern competition, during the summer tennis season (September – April). Our club coaches run coaching programmes for all levels from beginners to advanced. Club courts are available for limited public use at a cost of $5/hour per person, at times that the courts are not required for organised club play or by members of the club during casual play.

Interclub teams and draws for the Summer season
Junior Programme – Term 1
COURT LAB @ Whangaparaoa Tennis Club coaches Jon Speed and Ken McLeod, run a Hot Shots & Teen Tennis programme year round, during each of the 4 school terms.
Children enrolling in junior tennis, will use the club registration process and will be enrolled for 10 weeks of coaching sessions for Term 1, 2025.
For Term 1, 2025 the junior programme runs from week beginning Monday 3rd February to Saturday 12th April.
Coaching Programmes
Private coaching and regular programmes are available with our resident professional coaches, Jon Speed & Ken McLeod. Regular programmes are available to club members and the general public.
Adults Returning to Tennis – Intermediate
Adults Returning to Tennis – Intermediate is a social and fun class for intermediate players. Players get to learn the correct techniques, tennis tactics and play practice games. Club
