Our Fundraising Trivia Night was held at the club on Friday 25th November.
A great turnout of 65 Club members and friends, in 8 teams battled it out for bragging rights. Our marvellous MC and quiz mistress, Francee Thornton, thoroughly tested the intellect (or lack) of us all, and at the end of the night the winners were Paul Spence’s team, comprising Paul & Sandy Spence, Paul & Julie Moodie, Elaine Jordan, Ady Croad and Simon Yock, albeit by a measly half point.
Hilary’s team deservedly won the “best dressed table”, with a mixture of extremely handsome Santas, beautiful Santa’s helpers and both a good and an unholy angel.
Band on the Rum, (Mark Battershill, Kenny McLeod & Bryan Barrett) provided the musical talent for the night. With undoubtedly their “breakthrough performance”, they kept a hardy group of partiers, on the dance floor, late into the night.
Funds collected from the trivia night will go towards the intended court resurfacing next year, so thanks to everyone who supported the evening.
Huge thanks must go to Francee Thornton, who spearheaded the organisation of the trivia night and to Hilary Gibson for managing everything, while Francee was in Australia. The trivia night was a great success, so thanks to you both.
